Odda started with a simple idea: make the clothes we actually want to wear every day, and make them well. This is a short story about where that idea comes from and what it means for the pieces we put out.
A city that sets the tone
Stockholm is where the look took shape. Think of grey water around the harbour at dusk, wind coming off the islands, concrete and old stone side by side. People dress for that. Layers that keep you warm, colours that sit quietly against the city, nothing that tries too hard.
That mood runs through everything we make. Washed tones instead of loud colours. Clean fronts with discreet branding. A wordmark, "odda", that you notice when you look for it, not before.
Picture it: a grey zip hoodie, the harbour, the last light of the day. That is the kind of moment we design for: ordinary evenings, long walks, the hour when the city slows down.
What "built different" means to us
Our slogan is not about hype. It is about how a garment feels after a year, not after a day.
In practice it comes down to a few choices we keep making:
- Weight. We use heavyweight cotton fleece for our hoodies and crewnecks, so they hang properly and hold their shape.
- Fit. A boxy cut with room in the body and shoulders, so a piece works over a tee in autumn and over a knit in winter.
- Finish. Washed tones that look lived in from the first wear and keep getting better.
- Restraint. Small logos, considered prints, no slogans shouting across your chest.
None of this is complicated. It is just easy to skip, and we would rather not.
Designed in Sweden, worn everywhere
We design in Sweden, and the Scandinavian habit of keeping things simple shows up in every collection. A good hoodie should go with jeans, sweatpants or tailored trousers. A tee should look right on its own and under a jacket.
Our prints follow the same thinking. Varsity, drip, cloud, wave box, worldwide and lost signal are each built around one idea, placed with care so the garment still reads as calm. You can wear them to the studio, to dinner or on a train across the country.
From the city to the store
Stockholm gave us the mood. Our store in Helsingborg, at Vasatorpsvägen 1D, is where you can feel the result. Come by, try on a few sizes and see how a boxy fit falls on you. It is the easiest way to find your piece, and we like meeting the people who wear our clothes.

What comes next
We are not in a hurry to grow into something we are not. The plan is to keep making fewer, better pieces: hoodies you reach for first, sweatpants you wear on repeat, tees that still look right long after the first wash.
Every new style has to earn its place next to the ones already in the line. If it does not feel like something you would wear on a cold evening by the water, it does not make it.
